Recovering non backed up data

Hi!
Due to windows suddenly losing access to my server, the document folder was automatically moved to windows.
I then tried to copied my files but during this copy the folder jumped back, not seeing this I was copy data to and from the same dataset on a truenas share.
After I can see all the files but they have a size of 0kb.
Problem is that a lot of the files is recently moved there and is not present in the last snapshot.
Is there a way to recover them? I have tried some solution through windows and for linux on the server with no result.

Did you enable the Recycle bin in your share? If you did, you might be able to find your files in the Recycle bin in the dataset. In Windows, enable viewing hidden files, and you should see the .recycle/ directory in the root of your share.

If you didn't, then you're out of luck.

Do you have snapshots?
If you do then can you make the snapshots visible and see whats in there?
