RC4 at least for me has some work left. I am unable to destroy a volume without the GUI timing out. I also am not able to bring up the list of services from the gui without it timing out. I am unsure if RC4 is usable at this point in my environment. Luckily this is only used as an onsite backup of my primary server(I have offsite going constantly) so this is not a huge problem.

Have you tried a clean install? Also did you try any previous versions of FreeNAS 11 RC that did work as expected?

EDIT: Are you using the old GUI or the new GUI?

this is a from scratch install after the failed migration from corral to the recent version. I am using the default gui that comes with the default install...

If you're encountering bugs with that release, filing bug reports sounds like a good idea. I'd suggest doing it through the web GUI (the Support button), so it will attach a debug file--that way the devs can see if it's something with your system.

Can you get Corral to work? If you can, backup your data if it's not already backed up. Just a word to the wise in case you need to destroy the pool and rebuild it under a stable version of FreeNAS.

What the hell for?
To acess his data. If the others are not working then I'd still think they would like to have access to the data to make a backup and then fix the pool. You can't think that I'm promoting Corral, shoot yourself if you thought that. My oh my.

But of all versions, Corral is probably the worst choice in nearly all situations. 9.10.2 would be a better place to start.

While I understand your point, all I wanted to do was verify the pool was still good and if so, pull off any data that needed to be saved before proceeding. Using Corral, a product the user had been using without issue should have been no problem. If that all worked out then I'm sure we could try 9.10.2.
