Ignoring that, how would you expect anyone to be able to give you an answer without identifying the controller you're using? I don't know if it'd be possible at all, but it certainly won't be possible without knowing what the controller is.

cat /var/run/dmesg.boot should give you some information about brand, chipset, etc. If that is enough to identify the model, as always, depends.

Then you will probably have to open up the case and have a look. Or ask Dell with the serial number at hand.
