Pool Error - data corruption

Hello, I'm new to the community so if I'm doing something wrong tell me
I have a freenas (truenas) that i installed on my hardware, it was working great for few years with no issues,
i'm an IT guy and can follow instructions I'm just not a professional with the system since i rarely touch it, only for updates.
recently i got this error

Error Message:
Pool POOL3.63T-Z2 state is ONLINE: One or more devices has experienced an error resulting in data corruption. Applications may be affected.

*I have a backup of the data to an external cloud

I'm just not sure what's the issue is, do i have to rebuild the pool because of one error? is there a way to fix it with out rebuilding it?

At the shell, run zpool status -v

This will tell you which file is corrupt.

Depending on that file, it may be as easy as deleting it (or the snapshot that contains it) and you might be fine.

If it's metadata, it will mean you need to rebuild the pool.

You also need to ask yourself how corruption can happen in a pool setup like this... sounds likely that something would be wrong with your SATA controller or RAM.

Have you checked the SMART reports on your disks (are you running long tests?)?

I found the file with your help! looks like one file that was already deleted automatically by a cloud sync pull job i have (extra backup of a website i have)
i guess its still shows the error because i have snapshots for that backup folder and i need to delete the snapshot that contains this corrupted file.

about how it happened? well i did have a power outage recently on the date i got this error but its nothing special, its not the first time the truenas deals with a power outage and it never had issues but i should consider buying a UPS.

and about the SMART reports, yep i got them running with no issues

It's great that you're running those tests.

What you're probably missing is that SUCCESS probably doesn't mean what you think it means... all it's saying is that the test is complete to the end... not that nothing bad was found.

You need to look at smartctl -a /dev/adaX (where you replace X for each of your actual disks).

If you post that output here, we can help to check it for you.
