Plex friendly name changes at each upgrade

Running TrueNAS-SCALE-22.02-RC.2 with the latest plex but every time there is an upgrade my name, "truenas-plex", gets a string appended "truenas-plex-878976767edef-3td6m" which breaks my plex app and adds a new server everytime.

I did some quick google searching and it looks like the friendly name can be set in the windows, mac, and linux version via a file, a command, and the web portal.

I would like to see if I can add some variable to the plex apps chart to keep the same friendly name all the time.

Thanks

Hi @cyrus104, so yo can set the friendly name of plex application yourself from the plex UI. Right now, plex by default uses the hostname of the container/pod in which it is running as the friendly name which means on each subsequent restart of plex app the hostname changes. However we will make changes in the plex application so that this does not happen. For now you can set a static friendly name from the plex UI manually and it should be consistent if i am following plex docs correctly.

Thanks!
