hi..

I am using a 10GB LAN card.
Both server and client...
The network speed is poor.

What's the reason?

You will need to provide _a lot_ more detail about your network before anyone can help you. Your question is like "I bought a Mercedes and it's slow". What is "slow"? What is the environment? What is the workload? How have you determined the network's speed? Etc...

...and certainly, what hardware are you using? NICs most obviously, but the rest of the hardware is important too.

Main: TrueNAS 12
main borad : gigabyte mz32-ar0
cpu : amd 7302p ( 16corke /2.5GHZ)
mem : samsung reg ecc ddr4 64gb
ssd : evo 1tb m.2 nvme
nic : clno222 ( intel x550-t2)

Please advise what is the reason...

@Fran136

1. Have you run an iperf3 test between a 10Gb capable wired client and TrueNAS through a 10Gb capable switch?

2. Your screen cap is displaying MBytes/s and KBytes/s
3. Are you mixing Bytes vs bits? E.g. your NIC is 10Gbits/sec, not 10GBytes/sec. 1Gbits = 0.130GBytes. <--- Note lower "b" vs upper case "B"

This is the result of testing with iperf.

That doesn't look too bad--not ideal, but not bad either. Depending on what hardware's on the other end, and how you're connecting the two systems, it's quite possible this is going to be the best you can do.

If you want us to help you, you're going to need to actually explain the problem. Use complete sentences--paragraphs, even--to describe what's going on, and how it differs from what you expected. Those forum rules that you said you read and agreed to when you joined yesterday will give you some pointers.

1. If you haven't already, you might try changing the MTU setting from 1500 to 9000 on both ends. If you have a switch in the middle, it will need to support Jumbo frames.

2. Make sure you are using quality Cat7 cables
