10 Gbit - Significant perfomance difference CORE and SCALE (Intel X550)

Hi there,

I tried the most recent SCALE version, and had "poor" network performance, while CORE is able to have 1 GB/s write speed, and 500 MB/s read speeds, SCALE is more like 300-400 MB/s both directions. iperf does not go above 500 MB/s - no matter if 4 or 20 parallel streams.

Any features like compression, dedupe, atime are off. Both setups are out of the box...

Any ideas how to increase this? Wouldnt want to miss Docker etc.

Thanks in advance

Because scale is RC2 no performanc tuning has been done, so i guess there's not much you can do right now...

SCALE doesn't have the various auto-tuning things in place yet. In this case I'd troubleshoot why your iperf can't go above 500MB/s first. Perhaps check your MTU sizes in network configuration?

After a reset now 9 Gbit work - so I am waiting happly for the tweaks, apart from that quite happy with SCALE.
