Syncing over 10gb lan

My main lan subnet is 10.0.1.0 which is a 1gb lan network. Two TrueNAS servers are on that lan. Recently I installed 10gb nics on both servers using subnet 10.0.0.0. I have jails running with static assignments in the 10.0.1.0 subnet. I want to install Syncthing in a jail and have it sync from my main server to the backup server over the 10gb link. The main server 10gb nic is assigned a static address of 10.0.0.10 and the backup server 10gb nic is assigned a static address of 10.0.0.20. How do I get Syncthing to use the 10gb nics instead of using the 1gb nics?

I take it that these subnets are the /24 subnet mask and not a standard class a mask of /8.
If they are a /8 this would not work as both the up ranges are in the same subnet.
