OWC Mercury Rack Pro RAID array​

contains four 4TB WD Red hard drives​

On a Dell Optiplex790 tower with 12 GB RAM
TrueNAS installed on a 320 GB Hard drive

Anyone succeeded in adding this raid array to TrueNAS?
Any pointers to configure? Just getting started in the documentation.

Samuel, thanks for your rapid reply!
So the box itself is a port multiplier or is that the card in the Dell PC?
Would getting a better SATA card for the PC address reliability issue?
If the box is happily addressing RAID 5 reliability, can TrueNAS see it as a single drive to share on my network without ZFS managing the drives?

The box itself is a port multiplier. Quoting from the OWC link in the OP:

CHIPSET​

• Custom High Performance eSATA with Port-Multiplier capability, FireWire 800 (1394B), FireWire 400 (1394A) and USB 3.0 Chipset

It's not recommended to install any RAID controller between ZFS and the drives. Too many folks have lost data this way.
