Other disk types

I searched the forums and all I could find were discussions of SATA. Does freenas not work with other disk types for its volumes: IDE, firewire, USB? I know it will be slower but will it recognize those disk types for its volumes? Thanks.

it will work with any block device. however, performance will be best with sata.
