hi,

I have a critical warning (red light) with the error in the title.
I found the 2 broken files:
Code:
[root@freenas] ~# zpool status -xv
  pool: freenas-boot
state: ONLINE
status: One or more devices has experienced an error resulting in data
    corruption. Applications may be affected.
action: Restore the file in question if possible. Otherwise restore the
    entire pool from backup.
   see: http://illumos.org/msg/ZFS-8000-8A
scan: scrub repaired 0 in 0h1m with 2 errors on Sat Dec 19 11:58:18 2015
config:

    NAME STATE READ WRITE CKSUM
    freenas-boot ONLINE 0 0 2
      gptid/fb54c994-0c65-11e5-a6b9-b8ac6f929475 ONLINE 0 0 4

errors: Permanent errors have been detected in the following files:

        freenas-boot/grub@Pre-Upgrade-FreeNAS-9.3-STABLE-201506292332:/fonts/unicode.pf2
        freenas-boot/grub@Pre-Upgrade-FreeNAS-9.3-STABLE-201509282017:/i386-pc/functional_test.mod

those stable versions have been deleted in the past, and the one booting now is FreeNAS-9.3-STABLE-201512121950.

Can I just delete them, and if so how?

Thanks for anyone willing to help.

What does "those stable versions have been deleted in the past" mean?

You can delete whatever you want by going to system->boot.

Also, this should not have happened. You are experiencing a problem with your usb boot device; it's only a matter of time before you experience more problems. If this were me I'd be replacing the device(s).

The versions i saw in terminal, don't exist, they were already deleted via system boot.

But still that error.

Why did you dd to it? Install to the new device and upload your config file. Imaging one stick to another using dd wasn't reliable even under 9.2, and it's definitely the wrong answer under 9.3.

Your jails are on your pool--the only configuration option is to tell FreeNAS where to look for them, and that's in your config file. Save a copy of the config file, do a clean install to a new USB, upload the saved config file.

Because I'm in a good mood... --> GUI --> System --> General --> Save Config button :)
