Hi all,

I got his error not long after updating to FreeNAS-9.10.2-U1, not sure if this is relevant. I've done a spool status -xv with the following results:

pool: freenas-boot
state: ONLINE
status: One or more devices has experienced an error resulting in data corruption. Applications may be affected.
action: Restore the file in question if possible. Otherwise restore the entire pool from backup.
see: http://illumos.org/msg/ZFS-8000-8A
scan: scrub repaired 0 in 0h5m with 0 errors on Sat Dec 24 03:50:17 2016
config:
NAME STATE READ WRITE CKSUM
freenas-boot ONLINE 0 0 3
gptid/c66d599d-06cf-11e5-9491-d0bf9c458ca8 ONLINE 0 0 7

errors: Permanent errors have been detected in the following files:

freenas-boot/ROOT/9.10.2-U1:<0x2141c>
//usr/local/share/locale/az/LC_MESSAGES/mc.mo
//usr/local/share/icu/57.1/icudt57l.dat

anyone know what these files are, are they critical, what should I do? I've been using FreeNAS for about a year but not really delved too deep as it just seemed to work.

Kindest regards
Steve

It's likely your boot drive is on the way out. Recommend you backup your config and re-install to a new boot device.
