One jail per app?

Is it recommended to have one jail per app? Or one jail to handle a collection of apps.

E.g. plex and tautulli. Separate them or keep them together?

Do jails use a lot of resources?

Is it recommended to have one jail per app? Or one jail to handle a collection of apps.

Most examples on the forums go with one-jail-per-app. This tends to make it easier to start/stop/upgrade/reinstall/etc. individual apps in isolation.

But there's nothing wrong with having multiple apps in a jail if you find that's convenient.

Do jails use a lot of resources?

Negligible. You're not going to see a difference in resource consumption at runtime between an app running in a jail and the same app running outside a jail.
