For the last 3 days and ~12 hours, I have had this error message on the FreeNAS server's display, but can't see anything wrong in the dashboard:

Nov 29 23:46:17 freenas smartd[3133]: Device: /dev/ada2, 1 Offline uncorrectable sectors
Nov 30 20:18:32 freenas smartd[3133]: Device: /dev/ada2, 1 Offline uncorrectable sectors
Dec 1 03:46:09 freenas smartd[3133]: Device: /dev/ada2, 1 Offline uncorrectable sectors
Dec 1 14:26:49 freenas smartd[3133]: Device: /dev/ada2, 1 Offline uncorrectable sectors

Those are just a few lines copied, the part of the log I can see have 2 entries each hour

can't see anything wrong in the dashboard:
I don't think SMART errors show on the dashboard. But really, the message is pretty clear--what do you think it means? And after reviewing the dozens of hits on "offline uncorrectable sectors" that I'm sure you already searched for here, what are your further questions?

I have tried typing the commandline you suggest into the shell and get a list so long, but can't seem to opy/paste it. Are there some switches that can pipe the output to a file ?

I think you are right on that one, because I can't see anything no matter what I do.

But really, the message is pretty clear--what do you think it means?
I think it means that there are some kind of an error, but the disk works fine for now, I'm just trying to be cautious.

And after reviewing the dozens of hits on "offline uncorrectable sectors" that I'm sure you already searched for here,
Well .... there are just that .... I searched on "Offline uncorrectable sectors freenas smartd[3133] " and got no hits, that's why I asked here.

what are your further questions?
That's as obvious as your condesending question right above this line :

"Are there anybody in here that can point me in a direction on how to correct, or mitigate the error I receive?"

I would appreciate helpfull hints and tips (as I did so many years ago in the Redhat community), not smartass answers danb35, not all of are fluent in Linux and FreeNAS

Log in with an SSH client and copy the output of the command here in code tags.

Oh boy, I am really a newbee, I can see that SSH are running and sat to autostart, but I have a sickening feeling that the SSH client have to be downloaded from elsewhere.

Do you have any recommendations ?

Funny. I found this:

and this:

and this:

...to give just the first three hits.

And if you're using Windows 10, you already have a SSH client built in--just open a PowerShell window and run ssh (hostname or IP address).

Actually ssh username@hostname to get in with your user under FreeNAS otherwise it will log you in under whatever account name you are logged in to Windows with. If you're not running the default port 22 add the -p switch and the port you are running. ssh username@hostname -p yoursshportnumber

True; in my case it's the same username as the logged-in user under Windows. But if it's different, yes, it needs to be specified.

Okay, Putty don't work yet, but I got it via powershell as you both said.

Got the readout to a notepad file, now what do I look after, or should I upload it ?

Oh by the way danb35, I found your Uncle Fester page, relatively very easy to follow, great with all the graphics.

And yet another question, am I an idiot when I feel that the legacy web interface gives more sense ?

So is this your boot drive? Please also list ALL your hardware. Also post the output of zpool status in code tags.

Oh by the way danb35, I found your Uncle Fester page, relatively very easy to follow, great with all the graphics.
Thanks, but I want to emphasize that I didn't write it; I merely wiki-fied it and host it on my wiki. Credit for writing it goes to @UncleFester, who I haven't seen here for a while now.
And yet another question, am I an idiot when I feel that the legacy web interface gives more sense ?
Not necessarily, though the workflow is almost identical between the legacy GUI and 11.2's incarnation of the new GUI (it's changing more with 11.3, AIUI). But for a variety of reasons, which have been extensively discussed in other threads, the legacy GUI will be going away with the release of 11.3.
