Hi,

I've just got an APC Back-UPS CS 500. In theory it's supported by NUT, but the latest released version doesn't have support for it. According to a thread on the NUT mailing list, Back-UPS ES series requires a fix that's in SVN, and CS series requires an additional patch:

https://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/nut-upsuser/2012-September/007922.html

Is there any chance that this might make its way into 9.1? I'm happy to test an updated build, but have no idea about how to go about doing a build in the first place.

Any suggestions?

Lyndon

You need to submit a ticket at support.freenas.org. If you can site the exact SVN number that may be helpful.

Was it actually ever tested on FreeBSD? I would ask on the NUT mailing list for a snapshot build to test if you can't manage to build it yourself.
