SOLVED Noticing some core plugins are broken, would switching to scale be more stable?

I'm noticing some plugins are broken when i try to install them on my Core system.
I tried all these without succes the past 2 days:

• Nextcloud
  • seems to have recurring issues using plugin installer and recommendations are using a custom script that is floating around the forum (https://github.com/danb35/freenas-iocage-nextcloud )
• Photoprims
• Photoview

Aside from trying to get it to work, i'm just wondering if switching to scale would make the OOB functionality more stable? I assume since it's a different technology that's more widespread things might be maintained better?

I'd consider switching and performing a clean install since i've upgraded my instance from very old versions of freenas to the current version, and am also running into other problems (like only being able to create new SMB shares if i "Allow guest access", otherwise i end up in an authentication loop)

Docker containers work.

You need to understand how to properly configure your apps (including mounting persistent storage and networking) regardless of the platform you use.

Jails in Core with manual setup also work perfectly well if you take the time to understand what you're doing. Plugins are not great on CORE (https://www.truenas.com/community/t...etending-that-core-has-usable-plugins.104355/).
