Noob Guide For Supermicro ipmi motherboards

I updated using the bios off their website and it is the same version that shipped with the board. SM951 isn't recognized in the bios and the m.2 led doesn't turn on with it installed. I already installed freenas on the sm951 and booted it up on my computer. I should have just got a x99 board instead of the supermicro, it's ridiculous that it has these kind of problems. I don't get why it isn't sticked on these forums that skylake doesn't have ehci support.

Do i need to have a legitimate business when I make a supermicro account for tech support, or can I just make something up?

I have 1.0a Bios for X11SSH-F (this is not released yet). Supermicro support gave it to me because I had some problems with this motherboard too. I tried and now motheboard detects Samsung 950Pro M.2 drive.

Update: I messaged tech support, got the 1.0a bios, flashed, and everything is working now. It boots in a normal amount of time.

I'm surprised they released the boards with bios 1.0 being in such a poor state.
