NFS Share schaltet sich regelmässig ab

Hi zusammen,

ich hoffe hier kann mir jemand helfen. Ich bin gerade so ein bisschen am verzweifeln.

Also was ist los:

Ich hab mir ein kleines Homelab aufgebaut mit einem Proxmox Server für Virtualisierung und einem TruNAS Server als Storage. Beides auf recht aktueller Consumer Hardware. Dem Proxmox Server habe ich einen NFS Share vom TrueNAS gemountet und dort meine VMs und Container erstellt und gespeichert. Sind nicht viele, aktuell nur zwei VMs.

Jetzt hab ich aber seit ein paar Wochen das Thema das jeden Abend um rund 23:45 Uhr das NFS Share nicht mehr vom Proxmox Server aus erreichbar ist und damit natürlich die VMs an die Wand fahren. Wenn ich dann morgens auf dem TrueNAS nach dem rechten sehen will lädt die WebUI ewig und der Anmeldebildschirm kommt nie. Auch per SSH kann ich mich zwar verbinden, allerdings kann ich nur Usernamen und Passwort eingeben und weiter passiert gar nichts.
TrueNAS wirkt wie eingefroren, es hilft nur ein harter Reboot.

Ich habe schon alle Einstellungen durchforstet ob ich irgendeinen Chronjob oder ähnliches habe was das verursacht. Das einzige was ich gefunden habe ist das Scrub alle 35 Tage. Generell habe ich noch nicht viele Einstellungen am TrueNAS gemacht. Ist ziemlich Factory Default.

Logfiles hab ich mir auch schon angesehen und finde nichts passendes. Allerdings bin ich jetzt auch nicht der Held was das angeht...

Könnte mir bitte jemand helfen und mir Tipps geben wo ich noch schauen könnte.

Nachtrag:

Gestern habe ich dann mal alle Container und VMs vom NFS Share auf die internen Platten vom Proxmox Server verschoben. Hat auch alles wunderbar geklappt.
Heute morgen schau ich ob sich irgendwas aufgehängt hat aber Proxmox wie auch TrueNAS sind sofort erreichbar keine VM hat sich aufgehängt, nichts...

Nun gut, das sich die VMs auf der internen Platte nicht aufhängen ist wohl zu erwarten gewesen. Aber ich hätte erwartet das sich TrueNAS wieder aufhängt.

Für mich heißt das jetzt, es scheint als würde sich TrueNAS bzw. dessen NFS Share nur aufhängen wenn dauerhaft zumindest geringe Zugriffe darauf stattfinden. Und nun bin ich irgendwie auch nicht mehr so überzeugt das das die alleinige Schuld von TrueNAS ist...

Hatte schon einmal jemand solch einen Fall?

So what is going on:

I have built a small home lab with a Proxmox server for virtualization and a TruNAS server for storage. Both on quite recent consumer hardware. I mounted an NFS share from TrueNAS to the Proxmox server and created and stored my VMs and containers there. There are not many, currently only two VMs.

But now for a few weeks I have the issue that every evening at around 23:45 the NFS share is no longer accessible from the Proxmox server and thus of course the VMs drive to the wall. When I want to check the TrueNAS in the morning, the WebUI takes forever to load and the login screen never appears. I can also connect via SSH, but I can only enter username and password and nothing else happens.
TrueNAS seems to be frozen, only a hard reboot helps.

I have already searched all settings to see if I have some chronjob or something that causes this. The only thing I found is the scrub every 35 days. In general I haven't done many settings on the TrueNAS. It's pretty much factory default.

Logfiles I have also looked at and find nothing suitable. However, I am now also not the hero what that concerns...

Could someone please help me and give me tips where I could still look.

Addendum:

Yesterday I moved all containers and VMs from the NFS share to the internal disks of the Proxmox server. Everything worked fine.
This morning I check if something hanged but Proxmox as well as TrueNAS are immediately reachable no VM hung up, nothing...

Well, that the VMs on the internal disk do not hang is to be expected. But I would have expected that TrueNAS hangs again.

For me this means now, it seems that TrueNAS or its NFS share hangs only if there are permanently at least small accesses to it. And now I am somehow not so convinced that this is the sole fault of TrueNAS...

Has anyone ever had such a case?
