FreeNAS version: 11.2-U6
TLDR: Installed FreeNAS on an old computer so that I can make it my media server. Created storage, jail, and windows share. Was able to connect from my Windows machine and mount the storage. However when I go to the Plex-IP:34200/web I get a spinning wheel that says it cannot locate the server.
Things I’ve tried:
In FreeNAS Shell: SSH Plex-IP (was able to connect and set fingerprint)
In Plex Shell: SSH FreeNAS-IP (was able to connect and set fingerprint)
Putty: Created SSH Tunnel
I’ve also set static IP addresses for the FreeNAS server and the PlexMediaServer. Almost forgot to mention that I originally had a Plex server installed on my Windows desktop just to test the connections throughout my house. This was successful and I have since deleted the association to the account and uninstalled the server. Nonetheless, I feel like the configuration is so close but there is one small thing that is missing. It feels like a network issue but I’ve read nearly every article about plex not finding the server and applied the solutions. I’m out of ideas, please help?
