I'm really confused. I have seen several post talk about using Plex plug as a docker and also a jail.
from a fresh install the only option or guides show how to do this as a JAIL.
and I see many people said they have gone away from jails and use dockers.

How do I do this docker setup and install? It sounds like it would be much easier.

Hi,
the only way to use docker in freenas at this moment is to install a vm like Ubuntu and set up docker in there. Docker support will be available with freenas 11.1

So if I was docker like plug ins I should look at a diffrent NAS product I take it.
I like all the custom stuff they do have now though.
I just had an issue yesterday. I couldnt play some video files. due to a KB speed issue.
Only thing I could figure out. was the OS is on a USB 2.0 16gig stick. and I did a SSD pluged into a USB 3.0 port for jails.
and my media is in the big 3.4 tb raid.

I dint have this issue on this little desktop I setup with just a 1 TB drive and a SSD for the boot.
So I was thinking it had to be something to do with the OS being on a USB Stick.

This bites cause I really wanted to play with some of the other things.

is there any steps for doing the VM approach you talked about above?
