Freenas 11 much slower than Corral after a new install.

hello,
i recently 'upgraded' from the defunct corral to version 11 and my transfer speeds are much slower. downloads are comparable to before, but uploading to the NAS is significantly slower. from 100-110MB/s on Corral, to 25MB/s after a fresh install of 11. it detected the single storage volume (2 8TB disk/mirrored) which i've imported. i setup a network interface and setup an SMB share as i previously had under Corral.

any ideas?

Please post your full specs, as well as details about the client you're using.

FreeNAS 11.1 upgraded SMB to a newer version that will honor sync requests if a client makes them, and this might be part of (or all of!) the issue.

OS X, in particular, seems to issue sync writes via SMB, which was an odd, unexpected twist.
