Thoughts on Mirrored vs RAIDZ2:
Both will give you about the same usable space (2x3TB). Mirrored will have superior performance, RAIDZ2 technically allows for more robustness in that any two drives can fail vs. "no two matched drives can fail." Mirrored is easier to expand down the road (two disks at a time) whereas RAIDZ2 you're either adding four more disks, or replacing all disks one at a time with larger models and then "extending inside the pool."
