Hi all,
This is probably a bit out there for a FreeNAS forum, but I'm hoping that since I bought recommended hardware some of you may have had similar experience with the same components.
My motherboard is a Supermicro MBD X9SCL-F-O. My PSU is a Seasonic SSP-450RT. I bought these all almost four years ago, and they have been running great. I have changed nothing in the past couple of months. In the middle of streaming a TV show tonight, the system cut out. I was able to connect using IPMI, but the system would not post. I checked the physical device, and the IPMI light is blinking on the motherboard, but hitting the power switch doesn't start any of the fans.
I disconnected the PSU and jumped the power on the PSU with a paperclip, which started it up, and tested all the lines with a voltmeter; it appears to be fine. I've gone ahead and ordered a new PSU (hope springs eternal), but I was wondering if you all had any additional troubleshooting I might try. I would ordinarily hook up my PCI motherboard tester card... but this board only has PCI-E.
Any suggestions?
