I bought a back up card (Intel M1015) to have for my system. When I try to flash it to IT mode with the recommended firmware, it does not show up in the shell like my other card. The card's LED's light up, and my PC wants to set it up as a RAID card, so it's recognized there. I can also access a configuration screen. I have screen shots below. What do I need to do to get this card to show up in the shell?

It's been a long while since anyone has gotten back to you, so let me ask a couple questions.

The card is not showing up in the FreeNAS shell?

Were the two cards the same mode when you bought them i.e. IR (integrated RAID)?

Did you have to erase the first card before crossflashing to IT?

What process did you follow for the first card?

No, not the Freenas shell. The shell I use on my PC to flash the card.

The cards were bought separately off ebay. Both "brand new". The first card had no problems at all. The second card results in a message that says something like no device found. I enter into the shell just like before. I mount the directory and then receive the error. I read that it could have no firmware on it, or it has the wrong firmware, or it's bricked. No clue. I'm happy to have successfully updated the version in my first card. :)

No, I did not erase anything. I just put it in like the other.

Thank You

The second card being bricked is not likely due to the PC going so far as wanting to set up the RAID.
Is the second card maybe requiring an older uefi shell version???
Look at the cards ID stickers, the manf. dates or other info on the labels may give us a clue???

12-14-10 is the date on the card not recognized. They have similar SAS addresses. Humm.....

Run the serial number by the LSI support people, maybe it's fake
