I am running latest FreenNAS 8.0 stable and i can't get the user to login with password on a CIFS share with a single UFS volume.

I have configured a local user test with a password, i have also disabled Allow guest access.

In CIFS properties i have selected Local User and not Anonymous.

Still when i access the share the user doesn't need to supply any password, it just accepts the user without pass.

Is this a bug on 8.0?

Version 8.0 had a bunch of problems with permission, most of them are fixed in version 8.01beta 4, give that a try.

Thanks, it seems to be a windows fault, it seems to cache all passwords for CIFS shares so i had to flush the cache and now it works as it should prompting for password.

How did you flush the cache, I know I've seen other people here with that problem and it would help if you could just explain that really quick.
