CIFS + windows 7

Hi.

I have installed Freenas 8.0-release and have setup a ZFS volume and shared it through cifs, with anonymous it works as it should - But if I want to use a local user Windows 7 correctly ask for username and password, but no mather what i try to wright in it wont accept it.

you need to check all your permissions.

checklist:
1. did you create the user on FreeNAS.
2. did you grant that user access to the files on the local filesystem. you can change the permissions with chmod
3. did you grant that user access to the cifs share.

let me know where you're stuck.

hmm thats wierd...
now it ofcourse works after a few days where it have been powered off..

Now i'm just wondering why i only see 5 out of 8 hdd's in the import box...

And it wont import my NTFS volumes..

think i found the reason for my problem logging in.
It wont work if i use my windows username as a user on freenas, then i can't access the shares - as soon as i create another username i can access the share.

You sure its that? Or does rebooting your FreeNAS system do the trick for new users you create?
