So if my question is about a problem installing Trident as a VM inside FreeNAS where does it go?

Let me put it this way, is your problem with the software or with the VM? If something definitely should work but isn't, blame the VM.

Thanks for all your replies, so basically I can boot and see the Trident (FreeBSD) installation then it suppose to start loading but it just shows the mouse pointer, doesn't move nothing... I must say I've multiple other VMs installed on my FreeNAS (Ubuntu, Fedora, Windows). The same thing happens when I attempted to install FreeBSD it does the exact same thing.

I just tried this on FreeNAS 11.2-U5 and I tried installing both Trident-x64-TOS-12-U1-20190731.iso and Trident-x64-TOS-19.07-U1-20190729.iso.

In both cases the VNC screen would go blank then add a mouse pointer then hang. I could get it to continue if I went to the FreeNAS Virtual Machines page and selected "serial" off of the 3dots menu. I would then get the Project Trident GUI installer in the VNC session. The next problem is that the mouse will not move so I can't finish the install. I also had this issue with a straight FreeBSD install.

I am using the web vnc client that is part of FreeNAS.
