This has been bugging me for several months and I was hoping 9.2.1.7 release would fix it, but it is still an issue. I'm unable to view any FreeNas users from Windows edit security unless I use Windows administrator account to view it. Here is what I get from limited user when browsing RDNs. I'm using local Samba mode, no domain controller.

That's really interesting. I'm able to view from a limited account at work, but I granted myself various rights on freenas. May want to look into assigning more rights to your user through "net rpc rights grant" locally on freenas. Forgot syntax and documentation is sketchy so I just wave hands. :)
