I have used FreeNAS in the past and am thinking of using TrueNAS and would like to be able to attach a lurks encrypted storage drive. Is this possible to do in TrueNAS?

Short answer, no.

You may be able to hack some things to have that work in the short-term for reasons of data import, but that's not going to be long-term supported as upgrades come.

The fact that this disk encryption scheme is called LUKS - Linux Unified Key Setup - should tell you something about how (non) compatible it is with FreeBSD.
