Hi,

I'm rebuilding my FreeNAS from scratch and I read about iohyve and I setupped successfuly a VM.

In the past I was using the jail from Freenas instead of pluging because I liked the customisation and I was able to upgrade myself my setup.

If you had to redo it from 0 for your jail or plugin will you use start using iohyve ?

I will use FreeBSD for my new jail/iohyve for my new setup.

Does the last version of FreeNas 9.10.2 is stable for iohyve or you recommend to wait for FreeNas 10 ?

For performance side does jail is faster then iohyve for the same Unix ?

I'm checking the pro's and con's ;)

Thanks

Side question about Proxmox, do you use it with Freenas for the storage of your VM ? I never used it but I find it interesting to check it out :)
I have a couple of VMs that run over NFS, but I have a few TB of storage in my proxmox host for VM storage. FreeNAS NFS does house all my ISO files and templates though. I prefer for my Proxmox to continue to run even though might need to bring down storage for upgrades and such. My Proxmox runs my DC, web filter and firewall (Sophos), Crashplan, Unifi controller, and a few other services for my house.
