I bought a:
"IBM ServeRaid M1015 46M0861 SAS/SATA PCI-e RAID Controller = LSI SAS9220-8i"
It seems to be working fine but the temperature does not seem to be displaying on the hard drive connected to this card. it just says n/a
the hard drives connected to the motherboard SATA ports are showing a temperature.
I looked at the firmware version of the card and it seems to be from 2009

I don't want to update the firmware unless it's really necessary but could that be the problem?
