I get stuck at the first step in installation.

Hello. When i boot from the CD, i get to the screen where it gives me 4 options...

1 Install/upgrade to hard drive/flash device, ect.
2 Shell
3 Reboot System
4 Shutdown System

However, when i select the 1st option nothing happens. The screen kinda flashes back to the same screen or actually does nothing.

Anyone that can help with this would be a huge help, i cant figure out why this is happening.

Does anybody have any ideas?

It must be a hardware setting or something because the installer gets past this step on other machines i have tried. The machine i want to install this on is a "dell precision 370 workstation". It has a Pentium 4 3.0 GHz, 2GB RAM, IDE DVD ROM and SATA HDD.

Try burning the CD again and set your software to do a verify pass after the burn.

Sorry i should have posted saying that i had sorted it. It was because i had the wrong bios settings for my drives. Maybe they should add a message saying no drives connected rather than just doing nothing. The disk was fine, i always let my burns verify.
