Hello, I would like to know your opinion about the nas I want to build and whether ECC will work on it. I will mainly use the NAS for storing photos, videos from my main PC, for Plex and learning Linux. It will be on 24/7.
MB: MSI X470 GAMING PLUS MAX 67$
CPU: Ryzen 5 1600(I will eventually upgrade to Ryzen 5 3600) 45$
RAM: 2x Micron MTA18ASF4G72AZ-3G2B1 165$
SSD: Kingston SSDNow V300 - 120GB (from my old pc) 0$
HDD: 5x Seagate Ironwolf 4 TB (ST4000VN008) (now only 4HDDs) 328$(410$ 5xHDDs)
PSU: EVGA 850 GQ(it's lying in my closet, I have no use for it) 112$
HBA: LSI 9240-8i 6Gbps SAS(IT mode)

In time, I would add a graphics card for HW encoding.

Please give me some advice if there is something wrong with this configuration.

Your motherboard doesn't support ECC RAM in ECC mode, and has a Realtek NIC.

HDD: 5x Seagate Ironwolf 4 TB (ST4000VN008) (now only 4HDDs) 328$(410$ 5xHDDs)
You can't expand a RAIDZ vdev once you create it.

I would suggest you to change your choice of motherboard.

You also want to have a pair of SSD in mirror for you apps/jails and VMs.
Please look into my signature for more resources or directly in the resource section.

Any suggestions on an AM4 socket motherboard that supports ECC and $150?

Looks to me that all the cheap boards (under $150) have only Realtek NICs, so won't recommend any of those.

There seem to be some in the $300 range that hit all the requirements (AM4, ECC, Intel NIC)

I'd look into used server gear if you want affordable ECC honestly. Either that, or used 9th gen i3 since that's the last i3 SKU to have ECC support built-in. In fact, for home use, especially if you are looking to run Plex, 9th-gen i3 is likely better than the Xeons as they come with an iGPU with QuickSync support.

Used X11SSL-F from germany near €150 on eBay.
You can slap a i3-6100 (used they come for 20ish euros I believe) and be happy with Dual GbE LAN with Intel® i210-AT, Integrated IPMI 2.0 and KVM with Dedicated LAN, Up to 64GB Unbuffered ECC UDIMM DDR4, 6 SATA3 ports and good expansion slots (2 PCIe 3.0 x8 and 1 PCIe 3.0 x4). Only drawback, you get no M2.
