HTTP AUTH instead of login page

I have a test machine (Poweredge 620) that I had a working prototype built on CORE. I wiped the drives and installed SCALE.

The install finishes and comes up to the console menu, but when I try to load the web interface I get a HTTP AUTH prompt from the browser instead of the login page.

The auth request does not take Admin/<password set>, and canceling out just drops me to a 401 error page. Anyone run into this before or have any ideas?

I get the same behavior on :80 and :443, and I have redone the install completely and ended up at the same point.

Install image I'm using is 22.12.1

Sounds more like you're getting your router admin page or perhaps proxy auth (if you're using one) instead of TrueNAS. TrueNAS does not have HTTP auth prompts.

How is the rest of your network setup?

Not my router, but that did put me on the right track. It was a unauthorized device with static IP.
