Ok. I'll put the pieces on the table and let you do what you want...I'm not getting through to you.
If you were using FreeNAS it should look like this. If you had that menu locally on the machine you'd choose option 7 to reset your admin GUI password. From there you log into the GUI and reset your root password. But it doesn't look like that. So there's only 2 possibilities:
1. You aren't using FreeNAS 8. (Hint: I'm thinking you aren't using FreeNAS 8 and sending me a virtual machine from an ISO doesn't tell me that you didn't make a mistake and installed something else)
2. You are using FreeNAS 8 and somehow your system is horribly messed up and corrupted beyond all recognition.
So take your pick of which one you want to go with. Sending me screenshots of a virtual machine doesn't help because you may not actually be using FreeNAS.
