Login problem

Hi Max here, i just installed FreeNAS on my server and i changed the password and fixed everything but when i logout and try to login again the password i changed erlier dont work so it wont let me back in tryed to login using root user but it dont work either and i tryed to reset all the settings and re do averything but i get the same problem and i dont understand what it could be.

I too have this problem. I have set the root password upon initial setup of freebsd but when I try to sudo up to run chmod, it doesn't accept this password. I have attempted to reset it through the gui and from ssh in single user mode, but no joy. Is our only option to smoke the box and start over??

Are you using special characters on your password other then letters or numbers?

Nope, just capital, lower, and a couple numbers.

If it's like you said, it should be a bug and reported likewise. Apart from that, I don't know what to say....
