How do I check on the status of badblocks?

As per the link below, I ran the following command on 4 newly installed hard drives to accomplish some burn-in testing:

badblocks -ws /dev/adaX

Then I got broken pipes on my terminal because I switched WiFi networks (something I do often).

Is there a way to check the status or results of the badblocks command now that the command is no longer associated with a terminal session? It takes so long to run that I don't want to have to repeat it.

Run those long running commands using tmux. It will allow you to disconnect and reconnect the session(s).
