How can I access my host freenas dataset from bhyve vm ?

Hello,

As I am trying to prepare for the new FreeNAS 10, I am testing bhyve/iohyve on my 9.10 instance.

Actually, with jails, I can give access to some arbitrary folder from my nas to any jail, I can restrict the fact that this may be in read only mode or not.

My main question if this : how can I achieve the same thing with bhyve ? Will the only solution is to use network sharing protocols like NFS ou CIFS ?

You can investigate the use of '9pfs' to access host resources. Otherwise a normal NFS or SMB connection will also work.

Ok, thanks, after searching a bit, it seems that the bhyve implementation in FN 9.10 lacks of the 9pfs module. I will have to wait for FN 10, and stick to NFS until then.
