hi,
is there a way to add / attach / mount an existing zfs dataset already containing data to a bhyve vm? Like when you add storage to a jail.
I've searched everywhere but the only questions regarding this topic was this: https://github.com/pr1ntf/iohyve/issues/129
The answer suggests it is working but I don't think "bhyve add" is the proper way.
Any help on this topic is much appreciated!
I'm on FreeNAS-9.10.2-U3 with full virtualization support
// Edit
Ok, I think I found the answer just after posting here: https://forums.freenas.org/index.php?threads/fn9-10-bhyve-iohyve-hacking.42297/page-2
Seems like its not possible as this is a "true" virtual machine and I (or you) need to share the dataset via usual sharing methods in freenas (cifs, nfs, etc.).
I guess the 9fp filesystem on FN10 was something which wanted to achive the functionality to directly attach storage to a bhyve virtual machine.
