grub normal.mod not found

upon doing a upgrade from 9.10 to 11.1 I am now getting this error where it's saying normal.mod not found in grub recovery. I've even tried a fresh USB stick install and it keep going to this error. Any idea why this would keep happening? I'm attempting a new USB stick but I don't understand why this is happening.

When are you getting this error? When booting? Is it preventing you from booting into FreeNAS?

Yes, this is preventing me from booting. So when I power it on, it sees the drives then gets as far as just going to that error. Takes it about 10 minutes. I'm now trying another USB stick with just a ISO on it to boot to that.

This was a issue with 11.1 causing the issue. I loaded up 9.10 and it worked fine.

Can you please file a bug report with this info? And post a link to it back here. If there is a regression preventing boot, we'll want to get that fixed.
