Subject:
Cron <root@radgost> /bin/sh /usr/local/sbin/save_rrds.sh‏

Body:
rm: /data/rrd_dir.tar.bz2: Read-only file system
mv: rename rrd_dir.tar.bz2.42311 to /data/rrd_dir.tar.bz2: Read-only file system

Any ideas why are those being sent?

also, I can find a lot of "/var/db/rrd_dir.tar.bz2.*" files.

Can somebody advise why "/data" directory is a read only hence "mv" in the script cannot move it there?

right, this seems to be a "leftover" from upgrade

I did the following:

mount -uw /
cd /data
rm rrd_dir.tar.bz2
/bin/sh /usr/local/sbin/save_rrds.sh‏
mount -ur /
Rebooted machine

/var/db now does not have a single one of those files there any more. Fingers crossed for next CRON job run :)

I'd recommend you move the rrds data (rrds stands for round robin data store I believe and is for the reporting data in your WebGUI) to the pool by checking the box in the WebGUI under system -> system dataset -> Reporting Database. That stores the reporting data on the pool (which is a better place for it IMO) and prevents this problem.

Thanks CJ. After I done a bit of "investigation" I realised that it had to do something with reporting. Why it got stuck after upgrade is beyond me, as I had to put my "Bob the Builder" hat and get it fixed as it was flooding my inbox.
