Hi,

I have just started getting this error

Cron <root@freenas> /bin/sh /root/save_rrds.sh
mv: /data/rrd_dir.tar.bz2: No space left on device

This is in a IXSystems server and am presuming it is the SDcard

Not sure what to look for to clear this up

Although this went unanswered, I am now receiving this identical message, and not sure what it means, or what I should do.

I'm running FreeNAS-9.2.1.9-RELEASE-x64 (2bbba09)

Any help would be appreciated.

output from df -h shows that /data is at 8%

/dev/ufs/FreeNASs4 19M 1.5M 16M 8% /data

That error is because FreeNAS is trying to copy a file from /var/Iforgetwhereexactly to /data/rrd_dir.tar.gz2. There are three basic solutions.

Since the mv command is failing you'll eventually get /var full messages (boo).

1. delete the /data/rrd_dir.tar.bz2 and reboot. You'll lose your historical reporting data points. But with a new file and no history it will fit and the error will go away.
2. Upgrade to 9.3 so that this issue is gone.
3. Go into your WebGUI and check the checkbox in the WebGUI that says something about saving reporting data on the .system dataset and reboot.

Thank you for explaining that!

I think i'll do the checkbox option no 3.

The thought of upgrading fills me with dread, as i do not have the time to get it working again. it is on the list...

I'm really really really dependent on my jails... I have all sorts running there.. about 15 of them, and re building them from scratch if the upgrade goes belly up is not on my bucket list...

having said that virtual box is pretty unstable, so maybe it would be worth it... maybe after I have sat my exams;)

thanks for the advice cyberjock, as always.
