I have the opportunity to purchase a Fujitsu RX300 s7 server from a computer recycling center for cheap, here are the specs

this particular one is outfitted with 8 2.5" drive bays
2 xenon E5 2620 - 6 core processors (12 cores 24 threads total)
doesn't come with any memory but supports up to 758 GB of memory ( will probably stay with 32 GB) DDR3

Was wondering if anyone has any experience using FreeNAS on these servers and what 2.5 HDDs people recommend since I cant seem to find and 2.5" NAS drives

I forgot to mention, I plan on using this server primarily for storage but also for Plex as well as a few VMs

They don't make good NAS drives in 2.5" variety. Those servers are not made for mass-storage.
This is the type of drive that is intended to be used in that server:

They don't provide much storage capacity but they are fast.
You could retrofit the system with this type of drive, but they are significantly slower:

Thanks,
I will probably go with the 4TB ones, the reason this server is so appealing is the price (less than $100) and for someone on a budget its hard to pass up
