Hello All,
I am very new to FreeNAS and just setup my box with version 8.0.4. So far everything is going great. I setup FTP and can access from WAN computer as well as LAN computers.
I am having one issue though. I am not sure how to access the FTP share from my LAN computer with another protocol other than FTP. To do this would i need to create a Windows share, then have my FTP user have that share as their home directory? Basically what i am looking to do is map the FTP drive to my computer and dumb files. That way i don't have to FTP them through the LAN.
My computer is a Windows XP SP3 computer. I also will be connecting with a Windows 7 Pro SP1 computer.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
