This issue just started after deleting a bunch of jails/plugins and creating new ones. Right inside the Plugin area in the FreeNas interface when I click INSTALLED it takes a few minutes for it to load the 3 currently installed plugins.

Then when operating inside a plugin, say Sonarr, the performance is extremely sluggish. Searching for episodes or modifying settings is taking forever.

My jails are on a single SSD and previously had amazing performance.

It doesn't sound like the problem is with the jail itself, but with the .system and data pools. Have you checked their health?

Thanks for the reply.

When you say health do you refer to the health of the volume. If thats the case both are reported as healthy.

Any high percentages in the Used column of the Volumes in the GUI?

Anything in /var/log/messages?

slow loading of the Plugins > Installed tab usually means the freenas webui can't communicate with one or more of the plugins API layer.
you might notice the icon missing on that tab, or it missing from the left panel under Plugins.

dalavigne - Used % are all very low, even my storage is under 20%. Checked the messages in the log and only found the initial log message.

Joshua - What your describing I have seen with the icons or at least some of them not showing up at first.

what always works for me to get working networking is for each jail disable VIMAGE, then assign an interface to the jail.

Hi, Sorry to hijack this thread, but I seem to be having the same problem. It occurs when I try to install more than 3 plugins.

I have viewed the monitoring tab when these symptoms occur and nothing seems out of the ordinary.

I heard that this error maybe due to driver issues as I get certain errors in console every time these symptoms occur. (I'll link to it if I do find it)

I'll try disabling VIMAGE and see what happens.
But....
What is the purpose of VIMAGE and what kind of situations would it be needed?
I do have a VM jail running and I know VIMAGE has to be enabled for bridged networking to work.

And it is a bit nerve racking to have to make changes to a function that you don't know.

Edit: Found it:
-I have similar error messages to this one
-And this one: (Losing pages of memory)
In addition to those above, I also get errors like
Code:
 TankBox kernel: ng_ether_ifnet_arrival_event: can't re-name node epair2b

I'm not sure what VIMAGE does, but it should be fairly safe to disable it for an individual jail
