I've just been testing 8.2 Beta2 x64 version which has been installed from disc and I'm struggling to get the "plugins_jail-8.2-x64" installed. I've attached a pic to show the message. Is anyone else getting this invalid checksum error? I've checked the SHA256 sum lots of times now. "6ee33317b3e842a18546ff9211dfbbc1f31d250afac001e5a77d1d51cbf1af8d"

Any ideas?

Thanks

Dave

Unsure whether its the forums but there is a space in the above checksum. Other than that I don't know

Your right there is a space above, I've just double checked the sum when I enter it and there are no spaces there and still the same error.

Thanks

Just downloaded the tool, run it against the file which appeared to give me the same SHA256 number "6ee33317b3e842a18546ff9211dfbbc1f31d250afac001e5a77d1d51cbf1af8d" copied that into freenas and it worked for some strange reason !

Although now if I were you i'd be thinking... he didn't check the number over in the first place !

I did honest !

Anyway, many thanks for your help all is working now.

It happened again to me on a different plugin, I checked the sum and pasted it next to the sum I already had and they looked the same but it only installed if I pasted the sum for the check program, strange but at least it's working.

Have to say the first time I saw having to put the hash in I was kinda annoyed.

That is, until it kept telling me the hash was wrong. Turns out that somehow the Firefox download had been interrupted and the archive really was corrupt. Sorta changed my opinion of the feature :)
