Upgraded from 11.2-U8 and things seem to working correctly so far.

Things I use:
* SMB
* NUT
* LACP with chelsio nic
* Jails - upgrade -r 11.3-RELEASE is working - vnet is working and dhcp

No problems whatsoever. Iocage still takes ages to just list the jails as does the UI. ;)

Thanks, folks!

I know about that. But having those snapshots is the point of running FreeNAS. I can wait for the iocage fix.

FreeNAS still crashes and reboots for me when I try to install the syncthing plugin. The plugin is left in a corrupt state and can't be removed via the gui, but can be removed with iocage destroy --recursive.

This is running FreeNAS as a VM under XCP-NG with the "nested virtualization" option checked, I've tried other plugins with the same results so it seems it's not specific to any plugin.

I was encouraged that the VNET fix might address this issue, but seems it does not.

GUI message:

ping via ssh on FreeNAS 11.3:
Code:
root@freenas[/mnt/tank1]# ping update-master.ixsystems.com

So now I can connect but the update fails because of:

Code:
Error: %Packages/FreeNASUI-11.3-U1-b73ae33bad2e89086140af9fead6274c.tgz has invalid checksum

EDIT: Manual install did work out in the end. All seems smooth so far after the update.

I'd say that the inability to get the U1 update is the enthusiasm of the FreeNAS community to update :p

I just tried updating from 11.3 release to 11.3-U1 using the GUI. Just as it got to the end of the update procedure where it usually does an automatic reboot, I got an error message, "index out of range", and the the update apparently stopped running. I did not try a manual reboot to see what would happen. Any ideas about what I should try next?

Check the boot environments bectl list. Make sure, your 11.3 is still active on next reboot (N), if not, use bectl activate.
Then reboot to get a consistent state.

I'm on 11.2-U8, and I see no option to upgrade to 11.3 or 11.3-U1

Never mind: it showed up, and I've installed 11.3-U1, and it looks OK so far.

11.3-RELEASE to 11.3-U1, no issues so far since the update. I also got the "index out of range" error which prevented an auto-reboot after the download, but I rebooted manually and all seems well.

I updated from 11.2-U7 and it appears to have broken my VM (ubuntu).

The VM is listed in the GUI, appear to be on, but no connection via VNC. I've tried to power off/on, no luck.

I tried SSH into VM but that doesn't work either.

Also getting these alerts.

Edit: I cleared ipmi with ipmitool sel clear , and upgraded each pool. VM is still broken.

I updated from 11.3-RELEASE without any issues (I'm using Plex as a standard jail and Resilio Sync as plugin; all green :)). Still, some hours after upgrading I got the "IPMI SEL low space" alert but this one was on my system's fault; one stick of RAM decided to die some hours after the upgrade and it filled the event log with ECC correction and unrecoverable entries.

Suggest you guys to check the event log before clearing it in a rush thinking it may be a bug from the new update, just in case there are critical events like mine :(
