Hi all,

After rebooting my FreeNAS box tonight my volume isn’t coming back up

I’m getting the below errors in the web interface:

CRITICAL: June 3, 2018, 6:37 p.m. - The volume Hyper-V-LAB-Storage state is UNKNOWN

Error getting available space

Both disks are up:

<HP DD400B8541 HPD2> at scbus0 target 0 lun 0 (pass0,da0)

<HP DD400B8541 HPD2> at scbus0 target 1 lun 0 (pass1,da1)

<HP iLO Internal SD-CARD 2.10> at scbus8 target 0 lun 0 (pass2,da2)

Zpool is not picked up though:

state: ONLINE

scan: none requested

config:

NAME STATE READ WRITE CKSUM

freenas-boot ONLINE 0 0 0

da2p2 ONLINE 0 0 0

errors: No known data errors

I’ve tried to import the volume via the UI but it isn’t detected.

Any other ideas?

So I’ve now tried “zpool import -F Hyper-V-LAB-Storage” and now receiving the below, probably due to insufficient memory or my ZFS pool is trashed?

memalloc.jpg

Might be worth buying more RAM as I'm at 4Gib (below min I know)

Does anyone think I may get my data back?

Simply started out okay and if was an issue I’d buy more and so it has been fine up until now.

EDIT:

I know it’s 100% not the right solution if I’m concerned about data loss, previously when I built it I wasn’t fussed about the data but now I’ve potentially lost it I wish I’d have gone a different route; different RAID option etc

EDIT:

Anyway, got another 4GB on the way now so just need to resolve this volume issue when it arrives or rebuild FreeNAS...
