Firmware for SAS2008(B2)

So I finally purchased a hba to expand my drive pool but I'm concerned about firmware. Which version should I be running?

You should be using the LSI P20 firmware.

Is this an actual LSI controller or an OEM (H200/H310/M1015) that needs or has had a reflash?

Yeah I flashed it, must have been an old guide with old firmware. I'll reflash it with P20 firmware and see how I go.

Would I follow the same instructions I used last time except use the new 2118it.bin from here 9211-8i_Package_P20_IR_IT_FW_BIOS_for_MSDOS_Win.zip with my dos bootable USB?
