Hi,
I'm a newbie in the fascinating world of Truenas. However I came across the following problem;
After a power failure I lost connection with the hard drives. Still Truenas reckognizes the drives I have in the system. However Truenas Scale indicated that there is no pool to import. The system indicates "exported" I am wondering how I can get my pool back and restore the system. If I make a new pool Truenas says that all data on the drives will be lost. Help?!

You may want to start with the Shell...

zpool import

Does that see something?

I did that but it shows "no options*
Perhaps you mean "no pools available to import"... ?

In that case, you have an issue with how your disks are presenting to the operating system.

Have you rebooted the system? (hardware restart)

Starting up the shell gives "the error: this account is currently not available
So did you run zpool import earlier? (seems you would not have been able to).

It sounds like you have some bigger problems going on here...

Are you able to save your config (System Settings | General | Manage Configuration | Download File)?

I tested the HDD's in the system. One of them failed in the test. Since I have a stripe configuration, I guess that that is the cause that I cannot import the pool...

Certainly would prevent an import from completing... doesn't necessarily explain why you aren't able to use the shell, but may be related to the system dataset being on the pool that's not importing.

At this point, your pool is dead if you can't bring that failed disk back to life somehow, so you can either make a new pool from the 2 good ones (maybe considering redundancy this time so you won't lose everything on the pool when one disk fails) or just start over with a whole new thing.

Hopefully you have backups, and you should certainly have a UPS.
